The fact that the famous crowdfunding site Kickstarter has turned itself into a public interest company is very significant. The amazing thing is that there are provisions in Nepal for similar kind of companies' incorporation. The government should do more to harness their potential.

Simply because parties cannot agree on the constitution, it does not mean that they cannot set a common understanding on how to boost the economy. The country does not need new vision on how to create and nourish a “bottom up” prosperity, ensuring that economic growth, also through special arrangements, can be really inclusive and not elude those down the social-economic ladder.

Turning Community managed schools in the Air Asia of education

Comparing public and private schools is a bit like comparing Air Asia with Singapore Airlines. There is no match in terms of quality. Yet fully fledged airlines are losing ground as more passengers fly no frills. The same could happen with community schools if they are really empowered and if we consider private schools more like social enterprises.

In this way Thriive helps alleviating poverty at community level while at the same time promoting an innovative culture of giving through CSR practices. More recently Thriive got awarded as Best pitching at the Investment Showcase organized by the HUB during the AVPN Conference.
