Jangabahadur Bogati, the father of Nepali Braille!

Today, we are observing Jangabahadur Bogati Memorial Day! Mr. Bogati is regarded as the father of Nepali Braille, who not only  introduced Braille script for the first time in Nepal, but also became the first blind teacher to teach braille to blind and visually-impaired in Nepal! Mr. Bogati was born and brought up in Bajhang district, one of the remotest districts in Far-Western region of Nepal! In his advent of late-child age, he made a long adventure to India and struggled a lot with ample of worst situations! Striving with lots of hardships, he received education in India and came back to Nepal with the aim of helping fellow Nepali visually-impaired brothers and sisters with the education! He, then,  modified the Braille into Nepali Braille! Serving many decades In Laboratory school, he sketched the bright iconic line of so many blind and visually-impaired students! His groundbreaking contribution to all of us blind and visually-impaired will not go unnoticed! Heartfelt respect and tributes to Jangabahadur Bogati!!
